Mountain Grove, MO PRC Meeting October 22
Important Property Rights Meeting
October 22, 7:00 p.m.
Hayloft Restaurant, Mountain Grove, Missouri
This is an important meeting for all who value the right to use the property they bought & paid for and pay taxes on.
There is a boundary dispute involving landowners neighboring a Douglas County property which had been given to the Department of Conservation. One of the landowners involved will attend Thursday’s meeting and give us an update. After having their gift surveyed, MDC has told the landowner she can no longer use the land inside the new survey stakes, land considered part of the property she and her husband own.
In two conversations, representatives of the MDC were invited to come and explain their position and justification for their actions. They declined the invitation.
On the Premise Registration Front
From c. Russell Wood
While visiting with an area veterinarian last week, he told me of a fellow who called on his office encouraging premise registrations for livestock owners. This guy said he was a semi-retired vet who worked part time for the state Department of Agriculture. His job is to sell vets on the value of getting their clients enrolled. He stressed that hoof and mouth disease could be easily brought in from Mexico by terrorist. According to the vet I was talking to the guy was harping on the terrorist angle but failed to show how having a premise ID number would stop the terrorist.
You might want to talk to your vet and see where he stands on this NAIS and premise registration business. He or she does run a private practice and certification came from a University, not from MDA or USDA. He does not work for them unless he chooses to.

By-the-way, this vet reached down in his waste basket and dug out the premise registration application forms the state employee had left with him to show how he was distributing them.
Hope to see you at the meeting Thursday night.
Russell
