Property Rights Meeting – Mountain Grove

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

Ozarks Property Rights Congress Meeting
Mountain Grove
Hayloft Restaurant
April 23 – 7:00 p.m. (come early, if you care to eat, as no food is allowed in the meeting room, due to limited restaurant staff).

We will be discussing federal “Food Safety” bills (HR875, HR759, HR814 and S425) making their way through Congress.

Water issues will be on the agenda. From the DNR push to certify 100,000 more miles of Missouri streams, to more activity from the Upper White River Basin folks.

At this time in our history, especially, we need to stay informed. Things are happening faster than ever before and the faster they happen, the more rights we lose.

Come to the meeting and bring someone with you.

Property Rights Meeting in Gainesville

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Ozarks Property Rights Congress Meeting
in Gainesville, Missouri
April 9- 7:00 p.m.
Vaught’s Family Restaurant
Highway 160 West of Gainesville

On meeting nights, food is served from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Watch Out for HR 875—The Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009.

This act will establish the Food Safety Administration and a Food Safety Administrator. One of the stated goals is (6) establishing a national traceability system for food. (Does that sound familiar?) Food production facilities will be regulated.  From Definitions – Section 3 of the bill: (14) “The term `food production facility’ means any farm, ranch, orchard, vineyard, aquaculture facility, or confined animal-feeding operation.”  It sounds like even our backyard gardens are in danger.

We will also have any updates on  DNR’s proposed expanding water quality regulations and their possible results in more control of farming.

Also, up for discussion are other bills of major impact on our lives and updates on NAIS.

These are troubling times.  Our private property rights are threatened at a breath taking pace from many directions.

We cannot afford to stick our heads in the sand and say, “It can’t happen.”  It can and is happening. Our freedoms are being attacked on every side, don’t miss a meeting.

Bring a friend with you!
